Looking for an electrifying rappel experience? At Legado das Águas, you can choose between two options: a 27-meter or a 48-meter rappel. Which one will you face?
In this activity, you’ll challenge yourself while enjoying breathtaking views of the Juquiá River and the surrounding mountains. We can confidently say it’s the most beautiful rappel in the region.
This adventure is guided by experienced professionals, equipped with top-notch gear, and adheres to adventure tourism standards (NBR). Our focus is on ensuring your safety while allowing you to fully enjoy the excitement of rappelling!
The experience includes:
– International standard rappel techniques
– Proper falling posture
– A 5-minute trail to the viewpoint overlooking the Atlantic Forest and Juquiá River, where the rappel begins
– Safety briefing
– Instructor supervision throughout the descent to mitigate risks
* Minimum group size: 15 people
* Maximum group size: 30 people
* The activity will only proceed upon confirmation of the minimum group size. The event will be canceled if it rains.
* Please bring a water bottle, repellent, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a snack.
* Long hair should be tied back during the activity.
* We recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt, long pants with sun protection, and closed-toe shoes.

Learn everything about rappelling with a focus on safety and procedures. The training covers:
1. How to set up anchors and their applications:
– Mobile anchors
– Semi-mobile anchors
– Fixed anchors
2. Types of walls, rocks, and knots (e.g., ramps, positive/negative walls, cracks, chimneys, guided eight knot, balso knot, double eight knot, prussik knot, self-securing knot, bulino knot, right knot, UIAA knot)
– Assembling and using self-insurance, communication techniques for “I’m on my” and “put and take” at stops
– Climbing using your own rope (Batman technique) to improve body awareness
– Descending with ATC, figure-eight, automatic brakes, and UIAA methods
– Principles of self-rescue
The training includes a structured teaching plan and certification provided by professionals in sports, industrial climbing, and pedagogy. It lasts a minimum of 8 hours, though we recommend 16 hours for optimal learning.
